Decision Systems Lead — Simulation, Optimization & Applied Modeling
Location: In Person in Tel Aviv, Israel
We are building decision intelligence for enterprise revenue: systems that reconstruct messy operational history, simulate decisions before they are made, and recommend the best allocation of limited resources.
You do not need to be a revenue expert. We are looking for someone who can model constrained systems and turn messy operational history into executable simulation, optimization, and decision recommendations.
This role owns the scientific and modeling core of Abundance.
What you'll work on
- Turning messy operational data into model-ready event logs
- Modeling constrained systems: queues, capacity, bottlenecks, delays, uncertainty, allocation, and second-order effects
- Designing the first simulation engine for high-stakes resource allocation decisions
- Building stochastic / Monte Carlo simulation workflows
- Defining objective functions, constraints, and optimization logic
- Translating executive questions into modelable decision problems
- Testing whether model outputs make sense in the real world
- Building decision recommendations that are explainable, defensible, and useful
- Working closely with engineering to turn modeling prototypes into reusable systems
About you
- You have modeled real-world constrained systems before
- You are strong in operations research, simulation, optimization, applied mathematics, industrial engineering, or a related field
- You can build in Python, not only reason theoretically
- You are comfortable working from messy, incomplete operational data
- You care about whether a model produces better decisions in reality, not only whether it is mathematically elegant
- You can move from an ambiguous business problem to a working modeling prototype
- You are high-agency, intellectually honest, and able to change your mind when the evidence changes
Relevant backgrounds include military OR, operations research, simulation, optimization, industrial engineering, applied mathematics, logistics, supply chain, workforce planning, healthcare operations, pricing, or algorithmic decision systems.
Not required
You do not need to have worked in revenue, RevOps, CRM, or sales technology.
The core requirement is not revenue expertise. The core requirement is the ability to model complex constrained systems and turn them into executable simulation, optimization, and decision engines.
Role structure
This can be a founding employee, founding technical leader, or potential cofounder role depending on seniority, commitment, ownership level, and mutual fit.
